R. William Westbrook Attorney at Law

PPI'm a solo practioner in Ventura, California providing legal services to individuals and businesses.  After woirking for a public interest legal services firm,  in 1982, I  opened my own office as an attorney in Century City, California.  Durng my time  in  Century City I worked with William T. King and Alexander Ginsburg who  mentored me in field of  law.  I was able  to  acquire two banking clients namely, Wells Fargo Bank N.A. real estate trust department and First Los Angeles Bank.  Addtionally, I worked as general counsel to a public company in charge of litigation.  My clients included personal injury claims, business formation, estate planning and a variety of contract and legal agreement preparation.  

In 1990 my wife and I decided to  move  to Ojai, California and start a family.  It was in 1990, I transitioned to working for law firms representing insurance  companies in field of products and premises liability due to exposure to toxic substances such as asbestos.  This field of complex litigation provided me with experience from inception of answering the complaint through discovery to trial.  I traveled throughout the United States taking depositions on behalf of a myraid of companies from Boeing. Bechtel, Fluor to Zurn.  I  advanced to partner in a national firm and took up residency in a loft downtown Los  Angeles, walking distance to  the  office and courthouse.  I found working with  others and collaborating towards trial rewarding although very time consuming.

  In 2011, my father passed away and I decided to leave Los Angeles and reside full time in Ojai.  I opened my law office in Ventura and work in a suite with five other solo practioners.  My law practice is focused in areas of civil law as outlined in the secton above.   

My mission is to  help others in striving to achieve their goals and dreams in business and improve the  situation of those afflicted with injury by others.  Moreover, to provide  legal  services allowing people to loosen the  reins and make something wonderful happen regardless of  where  life  has one situated.
